Manufacturing Supervisor – El Paso, TX. This role leads production operations, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives in an Engineer‑to‑Order environment.
Responsibilities
- Production Schedule Achievement: Ensure successful attainment of production schedules while maintaining safety, cost efficiency, quality standards, and lead‑time targets; monitor performance and proactively address issues; drive accountability to meet departmental and site goals.
- Team Training and Development: Organize and address training needs to enhance technical skills and product knowledge; mentor and coach employees for career growth; foster a continuous‑learning environment focused on engagement and operational excellence.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve industrial and manufacturing processes; support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives; identify waste and optimize workflow throughout production.
- People Management: Set goals, manage performance, develop competencies, recognize achievements, handle daily timekeeping and attendance, provide coaching, corrective actions, and disciplinary management; create an inclusive, high‑performing team culture.
- Safety Focus: Promote a safety‑first culture; ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; actively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Group Performance Ownership: Own team and departmental performance objectives; use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and drive continuous improvement; lead problem‑solving activities for production, quality, and operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or people‑leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in an Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) setting supporting customized or project‑based manufacturing.
- Background supervising or supporting teams performing electrical wiring, panel wiring, control wiring, switchgear, switchboard, motor control center (MCC), power distribution equipment, or related electrical assembly operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and operational best practices.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electrical equipment, energy management, industrial automation, power distribution, or related industries.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Experience managing production metrics, workforce planning, and performance‑improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing scheduling processes.
Pay
USD 86,400 – USD 129,600 per year (base pay and short‑term incentives), applicable to U.S. candidates.
Schedule
2nd‑shift, Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m., with flexibility to cover weekends as needed.
