About the role

The Manufacturing Supervisor supports daily operations in a GMP-regulated medical device manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production of high-quality products. This role oversees assigned product lines across both high-mix/low-volume and low-mix/high-volume manufacturing, driving performance against Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) objectives while maintaining adherence to process controls, environmental requirements, and quality systems. The position is located in Allendale with occasional travel to Oakland.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates production activities and ensures accuracy of batch records.
  • Contributes to improvements in yield, scrap reduction, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Leads product line leads and provides direct oversight of operators where applicable.
  • Builds strong, accountable teams and maintains effective communication on the manufacturing floor and with cross-functional partners.
  • Reinforces standard work, escalates issues as needed, and sustains continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensures timely communication and escalation of production, quality, and personnel issues to the Production Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED) with 5 years of medical device experience, OR
  • 4 years of medical device experience and an AAS degree, OR
  • 2 years of experience and a BS degree, OR
  • A master’s degree in the biological sciences with 1 year of experience.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision and execute within established procedures.
  • Ability to identify problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and model professional, accountable, and respectful behavior.
  • Ability to drive execution against production targets, including yield performance and scrap reduction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including timely escalation of issues and clear cross-functional coordination.

Pay

$75,000–$95,000 per year.
