About the role

This position manages or assists with production activities such as assembly, material forming, processing, treating, or packaging. Responsibilities include planning and directing production to meet specifications, schedules, volume, cost, wastage targets, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, and Sales to develop production schedules and allocate resources, as well as managing production line maintenance to minimize disruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others while mobilizing resources.
  • Manage two or more direct reports, including hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
  • Monitor and achieve operational and financial results for the assigned area.
  • Supervise entry-level or semi-skilled hourly employees (e.g., production, craft, clerical workers).
  • Coordinate resources and set daily priorities to ensure task completion and operational objectives are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
  • Apply operational business practices and coordinate with related areas to improve efficiency.
  • Direct operations of work units, ensuring accuracy and completeness of assignments.
  • Follow all Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including plant rules, hygiene, and allergen protocols.
  • Report unsafe conditions or SQF noncompliance to authority figures.
  • Participate in SQF root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer complaints, audits, or validation activities.

Requirements

  • BA degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay

$72,700.00 - $96,900.00 per year.
