Manufacturing Supervisor - 3rd Shift Mon - Thurs 9pm - 7am (overnights)

Job Description

Basic Job Purpose:

• Ensures production goals are met
• Holds high quality products
• Manages inventory levels
• Services and maintains equipment
• Maintains accurate documentation

Principal Accountabilities:

• Directs team meetings
• Supports daily schedule sequence
• Allocates appropriate resources
• Escalates exceptions as needed
• Maintains technical knowledge
• Executes LDMS
• Works with other departments
• Ensures compliance with cGMP
• Advocates for safety
• Completes daily production and waste reports
• Handles hazardous waste
• Performs SAP transactions
• Reviews manufacturing Batch records
• Maintains and orders non-inventory supplies
• Participates in team activities

Job Dimensions

• Executes manufacturing plans according to schedules or visual pull signals
• Operates independently on a daily basis

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree by an accredited institution
• 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Comprehend and effectively communicate written and verbal instructions in English
• Demonstrated leadership abilities; excellent organizational & critical thinking skills; high sense of urgency; strongly motivated; balanced perspective; and an effective communicator at all levels
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Green Belt training/certification
• Lean training/certification
• Exposure to an FDA-regulated environment
• Proficient with SAP or similar ERP system transactions

Supervisory Responsibility

• Supervises from 10-20 Manufacturing associates
