Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the day-to-day activities of a team of production workers to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules.
  • Maintains volume and quality of output by adjusting tasks, timing, equipment set-up, or inputs to meet production specifications and resource usage.
  • Safeguards production tasks and equipment by supervising staff and ensuring safe operation of machines and equipment.
  • Trains new workers in organization’s operating procedures and standards.
  • Manages shift safety, training, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepares production reports to identify and resolve performance problems.
  • Handles personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
  • Performs work in cleanroom environments, including gowning, aseptic processing, and maintaining sterile conditions in compliance with GMP standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field.
  • Uses standard theories, principles, and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Provides direct or supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals.
  • Accounts for work and people scheduling, performance management, and recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Judgment is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers.
  • Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Leverage Manufacturing methods.
  • General Microsoft office 360.
  • OPEX training.

Physical Demands

  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
