Department: Manufacturing Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor – 3rd Shift Summary: This position is responsible for supervising second shift employees engaged in Sheet Metal and Value Added operations to support safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement objectives. Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following: · Manage, hire, lead, motivate and train the Sheet Metal and Value Added Departments in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Exhibit confidence in self and staff. Resolve interdepartmental issues, accept feedback and give recognition. · Interpret company policies to team members and enforce safety regulations. · Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders. Assign duties to appropriate personnel. · Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. · Suggest changes in work conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or workforce. · Maintain time and production records. · Confer with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. · Set priorities for and direct the operations of assigned Manufacturing personnel in Sheet Metal and Value Added operations. · Supervise the education and training of personnel in the selection and execution of Manufacturing Orders (MO’s) to meet cost, quality and delivery goals. · Plan and requisition materials and tooling necessary to support the Manufacturing schedule. · Use the following software programs when performing this job: Shop Floor Control, CAD, MRP II, SAP, and Microsoft Office tools · Ensure team members comply with departmental policies and procedures to control the manufacturing process. · Occasionally attend daytime meetings, training sessions, audits, and other business-related activities outside of normal second shift hours. · Perform all other duties as assigned. Recommended Education and/or Experience Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology or related field preferred, with a minimum of four years of manufacturing experience. Prior supervisory experience required.
