About the Role
The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily activities of the production department (Printing, Packing, Unpacking), ensuring alignment with company objectives for production, quality, service, and cost. This position supervises, motivates, counsels, and disciplines direct reports while collaborating closely with management to foster BEL USA's mission and core values, driving a constructive culture and higher performance.
Responsibilities
- Directs daily production activities of assigned manufacturing area(s).
- Supports and administers approved company policies and communicates new policies and objectives to all associates.
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Continuously works to improve in all areas.
- Analyzes departmental flow; investigates, justifies, and initiates productivity and/or efficiency improvements.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of new associates.
- Provides orientation and on-the-job training to ensure expectations of each position are defined and understood.
- Ensures manufacturing areas are maintained at an acceptable level at all times.
- Supports teamwork through active participation and/or by helping team ideas work.
- Performs duties safely and in accordance with Company safety policies.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of warehouse experience with comprehensive product knowledge.
- Previous experience with associate training, job coaching/counseling, and performance management.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to interpret general business and financial reports, write and interpret operating procedures, and effectively present information.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Computer skills including email and Microsoft Office products.
- Reliable, regular attendance is essential.
