Responsibilities
- Daily Work
- Ship & receive material.
- Perform incoming inspection.
- Store materials in their proper location.
- Maintain inventory records in the company ERP system.
- Maintain labeling on shelves.
- Add information to the boxes as needed for easy retrieval.
- Aid production manager in kitting jobs and setting up work cells.
- Supply material when needed.
- Manage inventory in stock in multiple locations.
- Manage inventory that is consigned to Simcona/IEWC by Customers.
- Keep accurate inventory counts.
- Follow cycle count program as set up by accounting.
- Return material to stock from floor that is not used during production.
- Manage Kanban to have no stock outs (may have on backorder if out on shelf).
- Update jobs for alternate parts if preferred part is not available.
- Update NCMR log & DBA for any damaged material.
- Work with Buyer to replenish stock when get to reorder point.
- Help ship product, properly packaged to minimize the chance for damage.
- Continuous Improvement and Quality
- Solve, report issues and obstacles related to materials receipt, stocking locations, disposition of materials, returns, and other matters.
- Contribute ideas to continuous improvement.
- Maintain a 6S stocking environment, neat and tidy, everything is in the correct location.
- Absorb and help improve efficient inventory management procedures.
- Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Aid the production team upon request.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficient with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, File Explorer, SharePoint, MS Teams.
- Professional demeanor and behavior, appropriate for a professional office environment.
- Versatile verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Well organized and able to multitask.
- A keen focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and at times with limited supervision.
- Exhibits a sense of urgency; performs tasks quickly, accurately, and effectively.
- Good analytical and math skills.

The Inventory Specialist has access to confidential company information relating to vendor/customer relationships, products, organizational growth strategies and company strategic plans. A high degree of confidentiality is required.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and high-speed equipment; Must be able to see, grasp hold, walk, sit, reach, climb, bend, and stretch, lift up to 40 lbs. Will spend considerable time in the production environment where temperatures fluctuate, floors may be wet, and noise is a constant factor in the work environment.
