Manufacturing Shift Lead - Value Add

About the role

We are currently searching for a Manufacturing Shift Lead to be based out of Hobart, IN reporting to the Production Supervisor. This person will be responsible for assigning production employees daily work orders and maintaining the floor order entry while being the floor’s first point of contact for production needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and initiate Low Severity No Impact (LSNI) safety corrective actions
• Participate in Team Based Safety Observations.
• Train, and develop crew members.
• Assist operators in daily tasks as necessary to achieve daily targets.
• Able to assist in changeovers, quality checks and start-ups on all products.
• Basic maintenance knowledge, complete the hour‑by‑hour boards, ensure 5S and housekeeping are maintained during shift.
• Back‑up to production supervisor for the organization of floor order assignments.
• Print production orders, labels, and tag printing.
• Assist team members with technical issues and troubleshooting.
• Prepare for production shift and ensure proper metrics are met.
• Work with production control supervisor and production supervisors to plan work priorities
