About the role
Insitu is seeking a Manufacturing Repair Technician to perform assembly, disassembly, repair, installation and/or inspection tasks. The role involves testing and calibration of electrostatic discharge (ESD) stations and other test equipment, recording calibration data, and programming air vehicle and ground control station (GCS) systems. Responsibilities include reviewing and updating technical documentation, maintaining test and calibration tools and equipment, and performing simple measurements. The position requires the use and maintenance of hand and/or power tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, disassembly, repair, installation and/or inspection tasks.
- Test and calibrate electrostatic discharge (ESD) stations and other test equipment, recording calibration data.
- Program air vehicle and ground control station (GCS) systems.
- Review and update technical documentation.
- Maintain test and calibration tools and equipment; perform simple measurements.
- Use and maintain hand and/or power tools.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of related experience.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of air vehicle maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources) to effectively represent the operator within the company.
- Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for delivery configurations.
- Knowledge of parts, materials, and processes related to electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical components.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices (e.g., lockout-tag out, personal protective equipment, grounding).
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specifications, change, design).
- Complete knowledge of shop processes including Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
- Knowledge of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAS) including air vehicle, ground segments (e.g., ground stations and mission plans), and supportability.
- Knowledge of computer systems; ability to use and learn different software platforms.
- Experience with networking, command line, serial communications, imaging, Windows 10, Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Must be able to work onsite full time in Bingen, WA.
Pay
Typical Hiring Range: $19.90 – $27.39 per hour (based on candidate experience, qualifications, and work location).
