Responsibilities
- Helps with preventive maintenance (PM) activities for all equipment.
- Participates in preparation of activities related to the implementation of standards and technical specifications for work on machines/equipment.
- Led in the development of skills and techniques with a focus on safety and machine downtime and uptime.
- Helps to ensure work orders and TPM activities are done to reduce downtime and increase uptime through training activities.
- Affords assistance with PM repair documentation as needed and required.
- Maintains equipment performance and ensures timely corrective actions.
- Manages machine breakdown response, coordinating with shift teams and maintenance staff.
- Analyzes root causes of equipment failures and implements corrective and preventive actions.
- Manages and supports PM team members across all shifts.
- Safeguards effective communication and knowledge transfer between shifts.
- Pairs with production to balance equipment availability with operational needs.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to identify and implement best practices.
- Ensures compliance with ISO, IATF, or other relevant industry standards.
- Acts as the contact window with Maintenance and Plant Engineering departments.
- Collaborates with production leadership to prioritize work and minimize disruption.
- Prepares reports and updates for management regarding PM activities and improvement progress.
- Supports and leads improvement activities in area.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years preferred in Manufacturing Process or related field. High School graduate or GED equivalent. Qualified operator as it pertains to quality and productivity.
- Skills: Working knowledge of high-speed equipment. Ability to perform minor troubleshooting. Ability to operate area machines efficiently in a process. Ability to learn quickly and be flexible with schedule changes. Ability to work in a high pace environment.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to push, pull, and tug 50lbs or more.
