Manufacturing Engineer - Reliability
About the role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Development Engineer to own the development and implementation of quality assurance in our cutting-edge launch vehicle factory. This role involves redefining AS9100 implementation and hardware reliability metrics. You will be responsible for improving lead times and reliability, quantifying risks, and implementing tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop capabilities in the factory that improve lead time and reliability of the launch vehicle product
- Quantify risk at the intersection of manufacturing process and vehicle performance
- Own and implement work execution tools and processes (not work instruction powerpoints)
- Own the AS9100 certification process – an opportunity to redefine what this looks like in the industry
Qualifications
- Intimate knowledge of aerospace and engineering standards (AS9100 experience preferred)
- Experience with detailed mechanical design including: machined parts, metal additive parts, weldments, fasteners, and complex assemblies
- Experience with safety-critical systems, methods for analyzing and quantifying risk, or failure investigation
- Strong communicator, able to lead by influence across disciplines and experience levels
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or similar

Compensation
- Target Levels: Level 3 Range: $129,150 - $193,620
- Level 4 Range: $151,305 - $252,105
ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
