Manufacturing Quality Engineering Manager

About the Role

Join ASML in San Diego as a Manufacturing Quality Engineering Manager and help shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing. Your work will ensure our deep ultraviolet (DUV) systems meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will improve parts and processes, strengthen performance, and support customer success across the factory. This role requires working in a cleanroom environment and wearing protective gear for the entire shift. You will be onsite 100% during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Q&E strategy and business plan for the department and translate it into an annual operational plan for your group.
• Drive execution of the quality roadmap and integrate quality deliverables within scope.
• Contribute to the definition of department Quality KPIs in line with sector priorities and strategic roadmaps.
• Analyze KPI progress and suggest improvements to mitigate risks.
• Manage quality engineers and quality inspectors, ensuring a highly qualified workforce and driving people performance and development.
• Manage and report on team performance.
• Create a relevant network of internal and external stakeholders and organize adequate feedback loops.
• Live the Living Quality & Excellence culture and enable employees to own quality.
• Manage internal/external customer interactions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues.
• Participate in audits, address customer concerns, and ensure adherence to quality protocols.
• Work closely with other departments to improve overall customer satisfaction.
• Lead the Quality Review Board, facilitate quality meetings, and deploy quality programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., electrical engineering, manufacturing, industrial engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Proven performance in related areas such as Supplier/Manufacturing Quality, Lean, Six Sigma Problem Solving, ISO Auditor, SPC, etc.
• Experience in a global technology environment within manufacturing and/or quality engineering is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with a 'hands-on' mentality to drive and sustain changes.
• Proven track record in creating a sense of urgency and managing escalations.
• Ability to influence, inspire, and engage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Experience developing and sharing quality data, reports, and presentations.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in related areas of expertise.
• Experience leading direct or indirect reports.
• Experience leading and facilitating cross-functional quality meetings.

Pay

The current base annual salary range for this role is $118,875–$178,313. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is based on job-related skills, education, experience, certifications, and pay relative to other team members.
