About the role
The Manufacturing Production Operator (MPO) position involves monitoring and operating crushing and grading equipment, handling abrasive grain, and performing basic housekeeping tasks. This role works 1st shift: Monday – Thursday from 5 am – 3 pm with occasional Friday hours.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate crushing and grading equipment
- Put abrasive grain into containers for customer shipments or store in warehouse locations
- Work harmoniously and safely within a team environment
- Perform basic computer skills and math calculations
- Understand the process and perform simple troubleshooting
- Handle drums, super sacks, and bags of abrasive grain using various methods
- Use basic hand tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, and mallets
- Perform other necessary duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform basic computer skills and math calculations
- Understand the process and perform simple troubleshooting
- Ability to speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a plus)
- Team player with ability to adapt to changing production demands
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and stand/walk up to 10 hours
- Knowledgeable about fork truck operations or willing to learn
Qualifications
