About the role
Siltronic is seeking an Entry-Level Manufacturing Production Operator to join our team in a 12-hour pitman schedule in clean room environments. This position is ideal for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a fast-paced, stand-on-your-feet, all-shift environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate production equipment used in the processing of silicon wafers.
- Prepare tools and materials, handle supplies, and load silicon (poly chunks to finished wafers).
- Inspect and measure wafers and other materials, identifying defects or problems.
- Accept, reject, or rework materials based on established criteria.
- Perform visual inspections and measurements, and communicate product and equipment status to others.
- Maintain statistical process control (SPC) of required product-tracking and equipment data in manual and electronic formats.
- Clean production equipment and work areas.
- Communicate product and equipment status to others.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and certifications.
Requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and operate various machines or equipment.
- Experience in a fast-paced, stand-on-your-feet, all-shift environment.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and continuously stand and walk the entire shift.
- Reach, manipulate using hands and fingers, and wear cleanroom attire, personal protective equipment, and/or breathing devices as required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a fast-paced, stand-on-your-feet, all-shift environment.
