Manufacturing & Production Engineer

Specific Duties

• Work with internal and external resources to fabricate and assemble hardware
• Configure, refine, and maintain electronic production management system
• Identify opportunities and implement changes to streamline processes
• Recommend appropriate fabrication methods for specified requirements and production quantities
• Estimate and manage cost and schedule for fabrication activities and communicate status to project leaders
• Optimize fabrication schedules while considering technical risk and overall timeline
• Work closely with quality assurance to ensure all project requirements are met and documented appropriately
• Provide input during the design phase to improve manufacturability and ensure requirements are met
• Provide input regarding the need for additional resources

Professional Requirements

• Engineering degree (from ABET accredited institution) is required.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication techniques, mechanical assembly, and technical drawing interpretation are required job skills.
• Prior production management or manufacturing engineering work experience (3+ years) in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Demonstrated team building and interpersonal skills are required.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and concern for accuracy, and strong written and oral communication skills are also required.
• Previous direct experience with supply chain management and ERP software is desirable.
• Experience with ISO process controls or with fabrication of electronic assemblies, a plus.

Pay

Starting salary range of $84,000 - $130,000 per year, based on level of education completed, and years of relevant experience.
