Responsibilities
- Master Advanced Assembly Operations: Develop proficiency across 50% of assembly stations on our fryer production line, becoming a versatile team contributor
- Leverage Technology: Utilize AS400 programming functions including Kanban card management, status tracking, and production history monitoring
- Maintain Excellence: Execute proper tooling maintenance and calibration (collets, drill tips, grinder pads, torque specifications) ensuring optimal equipment performance
- Ensure Quality: Apply precise tightening specifications and assembly requirements while maintaining Henny Penny's renowned quality standards
- Drive Efficiency: Work with Feeder Sheets, Method Sheets, BOMs, and SPOs to complete stations within cycle time requirements
- Champion Safety: Consistently follow all safety procedures and Suspect Material guidelines established by Quality Assurance
- Build Team Success: Model Henny Penny's core values and Expected Team Member Behaviors while maintaining an organized, clean work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum age of 18 years
- 1-3 years of product line assembly experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Basic math proficiency and computer skills
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and documentation
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Comfortable with frequent bending, twisting, and squatting
- Capability to lift and move up to 60 pounds regularly
- Skilled in continuous use of hand drills and pneumatic tools
Skills
- Commercial fryer or kitchen equipment assembly background
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (Kanban, AS400, BOM systems)
- Experience with method sheets and manufacturing documentation
