Manufacturing Process Engineer - Warehouse
About the role
This position leads the measurement and analysis of warehouse inventory processes, develops standard operating procedures, and implements continuous improvement projects. The scope covers the end-to-end warehouse process: material preparation, receiving, storage, inventory, and shipment preparation. The role is designed to highlight and facilitate skill development.
Responsibilities
- Design, measure, and support manufacturing process changes; develop standard operating procedures to improve operator efficiency and process consistency.
- Collect and analyze key performance metrics such as cycle time, storage efficiency, and yield to drive process and quality improvements.
- Participate in Kaizen events to measure, document, and continuously improve warehouse processes.
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve warehouse process efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or advanced degree and equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Experience developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
- Proficiency in applying Lean or Six Sigma principles in a variety of situations.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to mine data to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Collaborative, flexible, and adaptable in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with contractors/vendors to drive projects.
- Ability to simplify issues and communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of employees.
- Ability to effectively facilitate projects in a technical, multi-organizational environment.
Pay
The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $75,750 and $101,000 per year. The final base salary will be determined based on individual experience, skills, knowledge, education, and/or certifications.
