Manufacturing Process Engineer

AJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products (paper plates, cups, bowls and bags), is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join its team in the Metropolitan Detroit Area. The role is suited for early‑career engineers who enjoy understanding how machines work and solving mechanical challenges, improving plant equipment, machine reliability and production processes. The engineer will gain developmental experience in improving processes and product flow, optimizing production efficiency and machine uptime, and driving innovation in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Projects will expose the individual to all facets of plant operations, opening many career‑path opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Participate, lead and complete manufacturing, process and machinery projects of varying sizes and durations in equipment optimization, reliability, and driving quality at the source
- Incorporate Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles into projects and operations including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), visual aids for key equipment and processes, improving flow through value stream mapping, driving quality
