The Role
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will:
- Lead and contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives that deliver measurable, step-change improvements in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Operational Efficiency.
- Monitor productivity and cost performance, and initiate improvement projects as needed.
- Provide daily production support within your assigned area.
- Understand key customer requirements and ensure processes consistently meet capability expectations.
- Apply technical expertise to support site and departmental needs, including special projects.
- Communicate project progress, implementation status, and cost impacts to plant management and supervision.
- Enhance your technical skillset by developing a strong network across the New Ulm plant and the broader 3M organization.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
- Prior experience working within a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution (preferred).

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $98,964 - $120,957, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
Schedule
On-site in New Ulm, MN. May include up to 5% domestic/international travel.
