Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire at the top or near the top of the range due to its pay-for-performance model. Compensation decisions are based on individual performance and circumstances. The specific compensation offered is influenced by various factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. What You'll Do

We are seeking a Liquid Receiving Operator to join our Production team in Rochester, MN. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving and pasteurizing liquid raw materials according to production schedules
  • Performing CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes on silos and line circuits
  • Operating and monitoring pasteurizers, evaporators, and CIP systems
  • Maintaining required documentation, including pasteurizer chart records (MDA compliance)
  • Splitting fermentation media and executing sanitary transfers to silos and fermentation vessels
  • Running evaporators to precise specifications (density, temperature, flow rate, and vacuum)
  • Maintaining equipment performance and troubleshooting operational issues; collaborating with maintenance as needed
  • Overseeing and documenting incoming and outgoing raw material trucks
  • Maintaining daily production logs and communication reports
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, quality, and food safety standards
  • Maintaining housekeeping and sanitation standards across assigned work areas
  • Working across multiple plant areas including receiving, control room, truck bay, flow plate, and silos
  • Following lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols at all times

What You'll Need to Be Successful

To be successful and safe in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, particularly in the food or beverage industry (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, SAP, iFix, or similar systems)
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production demands
  • Comfortable working in a high-paced environment with multiple processes running simultaneously

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders; working at multiple plant levels
  • Bending, squatting, reaching, pushing/pulling, and performing repetitive movements
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs regularly; up to 55 lbs occasionally
  • Exposure to noise, chemicals, and variable temperatures
  • Hearing protection required; work areas may include wet concrete surfaces
