Manufacturing Operator Lead

Job Responsibilities

• Observes plant safety rules.
• Checks assigned area and equipment for compliance with safety specifications.
• Wears or uses appropriate safety gear while performing tasks.
• Participates in 5S initiatives by maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
• Aids in preparing production area for housekeeping inspections and inventory taking.
• Relays appropriate information to supervisor.
• Presents comments, concerns, and relevant information about employees to supervisor.
• Maintains effective lateral communications with others whose work affects that of his shift.
• Reports any grievances or potential conflicts that may affect the overall performance of his shift.
• Completes and accurately documents daily mix report.
• Records wax tank measurements and temperatures as needed.
• Possesses no direct threat to the health or safety of themselves, others, or property.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum one year’s experience in an industrial environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of production equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Machine Operator-Mix Plant duties.
• Experience in operating a front end/wheel loader is preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Standing/walking for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work overtime and occasionally on weekends with short notice.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
• Typical manufacturing environment with concrete floors and moving equipment.
• Works in extreme temperatures & weather conditions.
