Manufacturing Operator II

The site in Chaska, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join the Valves and Manifolds department. This role is essential in assembling a range of valves and components used by customers to precisely measure and dispense chemicals. The position involves working in a cleanroom environment following Standard Operating Procedures and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Sets up workstations with components required for valve/fitting assembly by referencing part instructions.
• Assembles different types of valves and fittings according to engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Utilizes hand tools, assembly fixtures, and other equipment for precise valve and fitting assembly and alignment of components.
• Conducts manual and automatic testing procedures on assembled valves and components by following supplied instructions.
• Assesses test results and logs into Camline software for record-keeping and compliance.
• Sets up and operates engraving laser on finished parts after assembly.
• Packages finished products in adherence to established requirements.
• Uses SAP and other electronic systems to find, record, and generate documentation throughout the assembly process.
• Records all output and production data in ERP systems and maintains compliance with online training and documentation requirements.
• Verifies product visually and takes corrective action when necessary to ensure consistency with specifications.
• Escalates quality issues as appropriate and ensures adherence to Entegris quality policy, ISO, and other standards.
• Ensures products are packaged per specifications and finalizes required paperwork thoroughly and timely (e.g., Production Reports, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions).
• Maintains accurate attribute/variable charts of rejected materials and conducts variable charts on manufacturing processes.
• Integrates into key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness, and product/system quality.
• Promotes and implements continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities (e.g., 6s, Kaizen events).
• Maintains a clean and safe work area and communicates potential safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
• Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures.
• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of production goals.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing and/or cleanroom assembly setting is preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within tight tolerances and understand documented processes and procedures.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination to perform assembly tasks precisely.
• Ability to use measuring devices (e.g., caliper, measuring tape) and repetitively pinch and grasp hand/power tools.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 75% of the shift duration.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests.
• Involves repetitively pinching, grasping, twisting, bending, and reaching to handle small components (e.g., screws, washers, fasteners).
• Adherence to cleanroom attire standards is required at all times.
