Manufacturing Operator I - Mandrel Removal (Third Shift)

Responsibilities

• Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations (including machine operations) to mass-produce medical device products.
• Prepares for medical device assembly by placing parts in specified relationships to each other according to written documentation.
• Assembles products according to approved standards operating procedures.
• Operates machines of limited complexity to perform assembly processes on assembly lines.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Works on the line where tasks vary as different models of the same article move along the line.
• Performs self-inspection on all assembly work performed.
• Conducts basic quality inspection of own or other’s work in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Maintains clean and orderly workstation.
• Completes manufacturing documentation properly.
• Communicates problems to supervisor, technician, or engineer.
• May perform stock/kanban transactions and enter lot information into computer/terminal.
• May work with engineers and/or technicians in pilot runs of assemblies.
• Participates in team-based activities.
• Completes basic production, health, safety, and environmental hazard training courses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• No previous experience required.
• Preferred qualifications include:
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to complete training courses.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to use and read measuring devices, such as rulers, calipers, micrometers, reticules, thermometers, gauges, etc.
• Understanding and application of regulatory (QSR, ISO) requirements in everyday activities.
