Responsibilities
- Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations (including machine operations) to mass-produce medical device products.
- Prepares for medical device assembly by placing parts in specified relationships to each other according to written documentation.
- Assembles products according to approved standards operating procedures.
- Operates machines of limited complexity to perform assembly processes on assembly lines.
- Works at different workstations as production needs require.
- Works on the line where tasks vary as different models of the same article move along the line.
- Performs self-inspection on all assembly work performed.
- Conducts basic quality inspection of own or other’s work in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Maintains clean and orderly workstation.
- Completes manufacturing documentation properly.
- Communicates problems to supervisor, technician, or engineer.
- May perform stock/kanban transactions and enter lot information into computer/terminal.
- May work with engineers and/or technicians in pilot runs of assemblies.
- Participates in team-based activities.
- Completes basic production, health, safety, and environmental hazard training courses.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- No previous experience required.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to complete training courses.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to use and read measuring devices, such as rulers, calipers, micrometers, reticules, thermometers, gauges, etc.
- Understanding and application of regulatory (QSR, ISO) requirements in everyday activities.
