About the role
Magnetic Seal is seeking an Entry-Level Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Warren, RI. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Produces product on various CNC or manual machines to meet or exceed production standards
- Takes direction to learn basic machine operation, setup, and maintenance
- Runs multiple machines as required by process or as directed
- Makes machine tool offsets or adjustments as needed to maintain print specifications
- Loads and unloads machines as per the cycle time goals
- Studies part drawings, set up sheets, work order instructions, and other necessary process instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences
- Performs basic measurement tasks to verify product is within the required specifications
- Maintains visual quality of the product by inspecting for defects such as dents, burrs, scratches, etc.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex, mechanically operated machinery
- Stops work if an unsafe condition is identified
- Reports safety concerns immediately with management
- Takes initiative and makes decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision
- Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- Identifies any production problems and notifies cell lead or supervisor
- Maintains proper documentation of data and collaborates with management staff and supervisor
- Maintains cleanliness in designated work area throughout shift
- Cross-trains in various operations and in various cells as needed
- Identifies and leads fixture and tooling projects needed for new or existing product
- Performs other tasks as needed by management
Requirements
- Able to stand constantly

- Able to reach outward and reach above shoulder occasionally
- Able to use fine manipulation continuously
- Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products repetitively
- Finger dexterity to rotate parts constantly
- Able to read and write in English
- Able to push/pull and lift/carry up to 10 lbs. constantly
- Able to push/pull and lift/carry from 11 to 20 lbs. occasionally
- Able to lift/carry from 21 to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Visual Acuity - Able to see close detail, distance and colors constantly
- May come into contact with chemicals
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior schooling in Machine Technology, Manufacturing or Machining is preferred
- Strong self-motivation, drive, and takes initiative to reach goals and target assignments
- Organized with emphasis on attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written, and interactive communication skills with all levels of employees, management, and business partners

Pay
Base Compensation USD $20.00 to $22.00 paid hourly, based on experience.
