Summary
Under direct supervision, uses visual aids and verbal or written instructions to perform simple and repetitive assembly or testing of assemblies or sub-assemblies. Operates manual or automated equipment to test or assemble product.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Hand, automated, or mechanical assembly or testing of products to meet or exceed established quality standards.
- Assembles products based on the documentation or instructions provided.
- Operates equipment such as the hot plate welder, ultrasonic welder, and computer automated Tag Testing Systems using very simple computer software programs.
- Provides accurate data and/or information either electronically or handwritten as requested.
- General housekeeping of the workspace at the end of shift.
- Other operations may be required by management to meet production needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Related experience is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Willingness to learn manufacturing machinery is preferred.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, and talk or hear.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and minimal risk of electrical shock.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
