Job Requirements
The Manufacturing Operator I position is responsible for set-up of all machinery on the shop floor. Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating lines in compliance with the companies TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to set-up and change over production machinery including die set-up and material changes.
- Responsible for continuous operation of machinery in order to eliminate any unnecessary downtime.
- Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating operations consisting of prep, coating, sheet separating and de-framing of gaskets while also maintaining rate that is part specific.
- Able to troubleshoot manufacturing issues in order to maintain quality standards.
- Responsible to make sure each machine is stocked with material throughout the shift.
- Able to assist tooling personnel in correcting any potential issues with a die.
- Responsible to make sure light maintenance on machines or a die including but not limited to oiling and greasing.
- Responsible to complete all paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and timely.
- Responsible to assist in general housekeeping of the department.
- Responsible to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing experience a plus.
Preferred (If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Highly motivated.
- Strong time management and priorities management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.
- BPCS experience a plus.
- Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
- Metrics driven.
