Manufacturing Operator

What You'll Do

• Follow all safety rules and protocols at 100 percent adherence.
• Verify product visually and take corrective action when necessary.
• Ensure product consistency with established specifications.
• Escalate quality issues as appropriate.
• Ensure highest possible product quality and adhere to the Entegris quality system, ISO and/or other standards.
• Perform various operations on the product line in accordance with work orders and process record instructions.
• Finalize all required paperwork thoroughly and timely (e.g., Production Reports, Labels, Process Records, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions).
• Complete hour-by-hour sheets on manufacturing processes as required.
• Integrate into all key business processes to enhance customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost-effectiveness, and product/system quality.
• Promote and implement the use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6S, Kaizen events, etc.
• Perform setup and adjustments according to work instruction specifications.
• Accurately follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Operate and verify the performance of equipment and make necessary adjustments.
• Use of metrology equipment (scales, calipers) and basic math.
• Use of computer programs, Excel, and other data entry tasks.
• Prioritize work in accordance with lead/supervisor direction.
• Keep work area clean and organized following all 6S procedures.
• Be flexible with work hours.
• Monitor equipment and production to increase output and make recommendations for improvements.
• Assist staff with preparation and production, including training and explaining technical concepts.
• Move products, supplies, and inventory to support production.
• May provide directions to other operators.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

What We Seek

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand documented processes and procedures.
• Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry.
• Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools.
• Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, repetitively twist, bend, and reach upward and handle all materials required in manufacturing, etc.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to work in different pace environments.
• Ability to work as a team or group.
• Working computer skills / Use of SAP data management is a plus.
• High level of interest in learning new skills especially lean manufacturing techniques.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Climb a ladder up to 4 ft.
• Be able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
• May require variations in work hours including overtime.
