Manufacturing Operations Supervisor
About the role
The Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations oversees the daily workflow and assignments related to the assigned production shift to meet plant production objectives and customer needs. They assist with hiring and training new and transferred employees, mentor, coach, and engage teams, and provide constructive and timely performance feedback. They also build team leaders and team member capabilities, ensure standardized work processes and rotation schedules are adhered to, and make routine rounds of the assigned production area to ensure production standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily workflow and assignments related to the assigned production shift to meet plant production objectives and customer needs.
- Affords assistance with hiring and training new and transferred employees on their job duties and responsibilities, cross training the workforce as necessary.
- Mentor, coach, and engage teams; provide constructive and timely performance feedback.
- Build team leaders and team member capabilities.
- Ensures standardized work processes and rotation schedules of production teams are adhered to the company’s policy and business needs.
- Make routine rounds of the assigned production area within the facility to ensure production standards are met, and record production numbers on the hour-by-hour board.
- Ensures all Company policies, procedures, plant standards, and safety rules are consistently adhered to and takes necessary actions if violations of policy/regulations/safety happen to correct the individual or team behaviors.
- Provides feedback on work performance, support teams, safety, housekeeping, quality, accuracy, quantity, punctuality, job knowledge, and teamwork to the direct reports.
- Proactively address potentially difficult or complex employee relations issues while pulling in the necessary stakeholders (ex. HR, Management, Union representative etc.).
- Utilize the Tiered Meeting process to track and analyze key operational metrics and implement actions to improve operational performance and support Gemba Walks.

- You have 3+ years’ experience as a manufacturing supervisor.
- You must be able to work daily and weekend overtime to support production.
- You have demonstrated effectiveness at developing teams, managing direct reports, and empowering individuals.
- You have computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, timekeeping programs, etc.
Qualifications
- You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- You have 3+ years’ experience as a manufacturing supervisor.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,900.00 - $114,100.00. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.
Schedule
This position is available on a 1st shift basis.
