Manufacturing Operations PMO Manager

Responsible for

• Leading the Project Management Team
• Managing key customer projects
• Serving as interface between internal teams and customers
• Collaborating with customers from requirements gathering to product acceptance
• Staffing, leading, and managing a team for New Customer Introduction, new product introduction, and product transfers
• Aligning the project team to customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives
• Defining, refining, and maintaining clarity on roles & responsibilities for the team and business partners (engineering and operations)
• Providing a source of reference and training for Project Management
• Driving well-defined processes and methodologies to optimize team effectiveness
• Identifying goals, objectives, and scope of NPI projects
• Working within defined standards and procedures
• Managing internal in-process material, samples allocation, and system logistics
• Managing monthly operational project reviews
• Managing weekly project reviews for the Project Management organization
• Forecasting functional area budget (when applicable) and HR needs

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of project management or similar related experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory/management role strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong Communication Skills both verbal and written
• PMP Certification or similar strongly preferred
• Experience working with internal and external customers
• Strong operational and financial experience required
• Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to be reliable, detail-oriented, and have a can-do attitude
• Automotive experience is strongly preferred
