About the role

We help companies address their toughest challenges with precision and confidence by providing the most precise electronic measurement tools in the industry, paired with advanced software. As a Materials Handling Coordinator, you will support manufacturing operations in a stock-room environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and package parts and products for external shipment by selecting appropriate shipping containers and packing items for safe delivery.
  • Receive and store incoming materials in the main stockroom; validate packing slips against available tools to verify accuracy.
  • Sort, count, package, label, unpack, and/or log inventory that is shipped or received.
  • Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
  • Issue parts and material to production work orders and deliver to production material staging area.
  • Restock Point of Use locations of bulk material on the production floor.
  • Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts of material; may assist with investigating material discrepancy errors.
  • Perform administrative functions such as maintaining department databases, preparing routine reports, and filing shipping and receiving records.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, written work instructions, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Perform miscellaneous stock-room related administrative duties as assigned; may provide on-the-job training and guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Lift a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide critical thinking and problem-solving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective listening and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous material handling or assembly experience in the electronics industry.
  • Track record of increasing effectiveness or reducing waste in process steps; familiarity with LEAN methodologies.
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
