Responsibilities
- Improves new and existing manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality, or efficiency. This is achieved by, planning workflow, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, equipment, layout and materials; soliciting input from operators, equipment suppliers and industry experts.
- Captures and coordinates between production teams the manufacturing launch of new/revised processes and equipment including project management, establishing goals, monitoring effectiveness.
- Completes design and development projects by documenting ISO compliant work instructions, training, and guiding technicians.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by department supervisor
- Maintains technical data logs relating to manufacturing processes
- Leverages engineering techniques aid in trouble shooting product quality for trail and non-trail products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years’ Engineering experience in product manufacturing environment
- Proficient in the implementation of LEAN and Kaizen principles
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
- History of progressive responsibility
- Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with CAD programs a plus
