About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer position is based onsite in Sedalia, MO, United States. This role is part of the Operations team and involves process improvement, design and development, production system design, quality control, and support & collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing operations to identify, develop, and implement improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Create, test, and implement automated machinery, robotic systems, and software programs.
- Design and install new manufacturing equipment, tools, and production lines.
- Evaluate products against specifications to ensure quality standards are met and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S).
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or software engineering principles.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting complex, automated systems, project management, and communication skills.
Skills
- Experience with PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Data analysis tools.
