Manufacturing Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Machinist required to repair, maintain, install and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pumps, agitators, fans, centrifuges, etc.).
• Ability to fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance program.
• Calibrate, align and make adjustments to production equipment.

Qualifications

• Include HS diploma
• Field machinist or millwright training and demonstrated experience
• Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment
• Able to work in confined spaces
• Able to work from heights from a ladder or man lift
• Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/machine drawings
• To place safety and environment as top priority in all work
• Demonstrate knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out
• Show good communication skills – daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed.
• Show good team player – flexible, willing to work in other areas and with other trades as needed.
