Responsibilities

  • With supervision, complete warehousing, inventory control, receiving, shipping, product identification, and traceability tasks.
  • Complete inventory transactions such as transfers, issues, and receipts using a PC and barcode scanner.
  • With supervision, assist with the Inventory Cycle Count Program.
  • Use the continuous improvement program.
  • Comply with safety and hazardous material handling regulations, including Hazardous Waste Management.
  • Participate in the plant safety program.
  • Maintain workplace organization to provide a safe and suitable environment for employees.
  • Perform other job tasks as requested, keep the work area clean, and dispose of waste promptly.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
  • Participate in Small Group Improvement Activity Teams and daily Team Meetings.
  • Initiate Engineering Change Requests to improve quality, reduce cycle times, or correct nonconformities.
  • Comply with Quality Management System requirements in accordance with ISO9001.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and submit continuous improvement ideas.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures to achieve zero incidents and injuries; assist in delivering required training.
  • Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal and external).
  • Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Company-wide policies to reduce liability exposure.
  • Handle special projects or work as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Material Handler experience.
  • Experience making inventory transactions through an ERP system (preferably Epicor E9) and via barcode.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training in Inventory Management, Logistics, or material processing.
  • Experience picking and issuing material to Production.
  • APICS certification.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this role is $18.00 to $21.00. The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.

Work Environment

This is a production classification with work in a factory environment, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and machinery. The role requires:

  • Accurate hand/eye coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Hand strength for grasping, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods.
  • Lifting parts weighing up to 50 pounds.

Special Requirements

  • Forklift Operation.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
