Our United States manufacturing facility is located in Milton, Vermont on a large, beautiful campus located just 30 minutes north of downtown Burlington, Vermont. About the Role
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a high-performing manufacturing team while driving a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role focuses on coaching employees, building leadership capability, fostering employee engagement, and creating an environment where team members can succeed and grow. The Manufacturing Manager is also responsible for delivering operational results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost across the manufacturing value stream.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of technicians, coordinators, and team leaders, creating a positive and engaging work environment that supports employee growth, retention, and performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement through regular coaching, feedback, recognition, and development opportunities.
- Build organizational capability by developing talent, identifying future leaders, supporting succession planning, and addressing performance concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Establish clear goals and expectations that align with Husky's safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, holding team members accountable for results.
- Coach team members in problem solving, root cause analysis, and decision making to develop ownership and strengthen operational excellence throughout the organization.
- Communicate short-term priorities and long-term strategies effectively, ensuring employees understand business objectives and their role in achieving them.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and create opportunities for team members to contribute ideas, solve problems, and drive improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, TIPS, and other improvement methodologies to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cycle time.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that support both short-term business needs and long-term organizational objectives.
- Ensure effective execution of quarterly and annual safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals across the department.
- Manage production support activities required to sustain a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Meet customer delivery commitments by ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and established operating procedures.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions that improve performance and customer satisfaction.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- 7+ years of leadership experience.
- Flexibility to support multiple shifts and provide overlap as needed.
Pay
Salary Range: $125k – $140k
