Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic position available on 2nd or 3rd shift at our Conyers location.

Responsibilities

• Perform required maintenance on manufacturing production machinery and equipment.
• Assist other maintenance personnel in performing mechanical maintenance.
• Follow and ensure coworkers adhere to all applicable safe work policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as well as applicable drives and PLCs.
• Read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Ensure all work orders are completed as requested or a solution is reached.
• Maintain parts inventory.
• Complete all paperwork and data entry as required.
• Assist in the training of coworkers.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic experience or documented training.
• Ability to troubleshoot drives and PLCs.
• Ability to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Physical Demands

• Able to bend and lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Able to lift 10 lbs. continuously for prolonged periods.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Able to climb stairs.

Work Environment

The workspace is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30°F – 110°F). Production machinery is loud and noisy, requiring ear protection at all times.
