The Manufacturing Line Lead position at Gilero is ideal for someone who is a great communicator and bi-lingual in English and Spanish. This role is available in Pittsboro, NC, and involves working in a clean room environment on first shift, 8am-4pm Monday-Friday with potential for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Cook up labor and materials to complete assembly of disposable medical devices.
- Train new operators on assembly procedures and verify their ability to produce acceptable materials.
- Perform line clearance activities and/or verification that line clearance activities were completed.
- Ensure production equipment is set up per approved process settings and materials match pick list.
- Ensure attention to detail in the completion of required documentation associated with the assembly process.
- Write clearly and legibly.
- Generate/print new labels and destroy unused labels.
- Follow cleaning and packaging processes.
- Perform inspections of components and assemblies including reviewing small details and ensuring accuracy.
- Demonstrate good manual dexterity and coordination with the ability to properly assemble small parts in a fast-paced production environment.
- Demonstrate understanding of basic measurement and inspection tools.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized work area.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices in compliance with Gilero’s Quality Management System.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others, experience leading teams preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to operate in a highly regulated, quality-centric environment.
- Time management and organizational skills with ability to correctly complete and organize written documentation.
- Manual dexterity and coordination with the ability to properly assemble small parts in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and equipment and ability to work using a microscope.
- Ability to work well with others and lead by example.
- Methodical, highly detailed, and able to adhere to all cleanroom and assembly protocols.
- Reliable with demonstrated ability to report to the worksite daily.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and sit.
- Experience with cleanroom assembly practices preferred.
- Experience in the medical device or other FDA-regulated industry preferred.
