Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and support a production team responsible for preparing, mixing, and delivering production chemicals where precise chemical composition is essential.
- Ensure all manufacturing activities follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulatory and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely production and compliance records, including electronic documentation, in line with internal quality systems and data protection requirements.
- Oversee the safe handling, removal, and disposal of chemicals, solvents, and acids in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including responding to and assisting with chemical spill cleanup.
- Perform or coordinate routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of production furnaces and related equipment, including cleaning glass tubes and associated assemblies, and support furnace profiling and process monitoring activities.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and collaborative team environment by providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support, and by working closely with quality, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing, chemical processing, or similar production environment where accuracy of chemical composition and process control is critical.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or coordinating the work of others, with the ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback.
- Working knowledge of safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, and of operating within health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, SOPs, and batch records with strong attention to detail and quality.
- Comfortable performing hands-on production tasks, including equipment cleaning, basic maintenance, and spill response, in accordance with training and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, effective communication abilities, and basic IT skills for using electronic systems to record production and compliance data.
Authorization to work in the United States, with documentation that can be provided during the recruitment process.
Desirable, but not required:
- Experience in manufacturing for food, nutraceutical, cosmetic, personal care, or related life sciences products.
- Familiarity with automated or semi-automated manufacturing systems or laboratory-supporting production environments.
- Experience with furnace operation, profiling, and equipment maintenance, and/or experience in ISO-certified, GMP, or similarly regulated environments.
- Training in chemical safety, spill response, environmental compliance, and/or exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
