Manufacturing Laboratory Technician 1

About the role

The Manufacturing Laboratory Technician 1 is expected to work independently, perform laboratory functions involved in EKD production. The person must have a demonstrated ability following standard operating procedures and work instructions. The person directly reports to the immediate supervisor, assists him/her with the day to day laboratory operations. The Technician is expected to be capable to perform goods movement through required databases, and archive quality documents.

Responsibilities

• Make ELISA plates or recombinant proteins by following SOPs/Working instructions and batch records thoroughly.
• Scan all batch records independently.
• Operate lyophilizer for all lyophilization processes.
• Promote a safe working environment. Follow BD environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Take responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participate in EH&S programs. Notify supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor and trainer, following their instructions.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Typically requires 0-2 years experience in a Biotech/Science manufacturing lab environment. Have some working knowledge in the science disciplines and operation of lab equipment.
