Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering Manager

Vac-Con is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Green Cove Springs. This role focuses on analyzing and improving production processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste to enhance overall productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, design, and implementation of ergonomic workstation solutions to support safety regulations and promote worker health on the manufacturing floor.
• Ensure all process improvements meet quality standards while contributing to enhanced product quality for customers.
• Analyze current manufacturing processes using best-in-class benchmarks, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles, including Continuous Improvement (CI), Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and 5S methodologies to streamline operations, minimize waste, and improve production flow.
• Collaborate with sales teams to forecast production needs and optimize resource allocation (manpower, materials, machinery) to meet production targets.
• Design ergonomic and efficient workstations through continuous improvement events to eliminate waste and improve throughput.
• Evaluate materials, labor, and overhead costs to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising product quality.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, measure performance, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
• Lead and manage projects aimed at process improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Conduct time and motion studies to develop standard operating procedures and establish labor standards.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate automation and advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce manual labor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications preferred.
