This position works out of our Tipp City, OH location, one of Abbott’s newest nutrition manufacturing facilities with technology that enhances production efficiency and product quality.

About the Role

As a Filling Operator, you’ll operate all production-related equipment included in the Aseptic Filling process. This role involves troubleshooting on-line situations and ensuring compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the filler and cappers safely to maintain personnel safety, food safety, and quality.
  • Monitor pressure gauges, filler speeds, and line conveyors.
  • Complete product hookups between the filling line and processing.
  • Perform product blow downs/flushes to achieve timely batch changes with minimal fluid loss.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all production and quality reports.
  • Interpret and respond to various alarm conditions on filling and sterilizing equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Operate the sterilizer system within required parameters, complete related documentation, and monitor specifications, making adjustments as needed.
  • Complete sterilizer rounds, sediment and chlorine checks as required by work order.
  • Adhere to product isolation procedures, monitor pH levels, and take water samples.
  • Report any abnormal equipment functions and product problems to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain general housekeeping, sanitation, and a safe work area by utilizing 5S cleaning tools.

Schedule

This is a night shift position (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM EST) with a 12-hour rotational shift schedule on the 2B Crew.

Schedule Example (after orientation is complete):

  • Week 1: Work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Days off: Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Week 2: Work Wednesday and Thursday (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Days off: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience in operating filling equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to learn and retain information provided through training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a liquid manufacturing or packaging facility.
  • Forklift certification.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $19.05 – $38.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
