Manufacturing - Facilities Technician (Mid Level)
6-month contract with a multinational science and technology company in Marlborough, MA; potential for extension. W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
About the role
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility MEP systems, including electrical distribution, HVAC, plumbing, boilers, compressors, pumps, and utility systems, within a laboratory facility environment. Respond to equipment alarms, breakdowns, and facility emergencies to restore safe operation. Document all work activities in the CMMS.

- Participate in the rotating on-call program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a facilities or skilled trades maintenance technician in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
- Working knowledge in at least two of the following: electrical systems, HVAC/R, plumbing/pipefitting, boilers/steam systems, wastewater systems, pumps, controls, or RODI/WFI.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a maintenance technician or skilled trade within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic knowledge in two of the following areas: electrical, plumbing/pipefitting, wastewater operations, HVAC-R, boilers/steam systems, RODI/WFI systems, autoclaves, Building Management Systems, or pumps.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and participate in the rotating on-call program.
Nice to have
- Client experience, preferably Metasys.
- Laboratory facility experience.
- CMMS experience, preferably Infor EAM.
Pay
$25.00 - $30.00/hr
