About the role
This is a key role within the Operations team, serving as a manufacturing expert to ensure that facilities and equipment effectively support operational goals through safe, reliable, and scalable solutions. The position drives continuous improvement by investigating new manufacturing methods and equipment, and leads capacity expansion and capital equipment projects.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Develop facility layouts to optimize workflow, material movement, safety, and space utilization
- Cook up facility modifications, expansions, and infrastructure improvements with Supply Chain
- Oversee machine shop equipment performance
- Lead equipment reliability efforts and resolve breakdowns
- Identify manufacturing equipment needs based on production requirements
- Research, evaluate, and select equipment suppliers and integrators
- Implement and maintain a strong preventative maintenance program, including spare parts inventory
- Support production with technical problem-solving and the introduction of new processes and equipment
- Partner with production teams to identify and implement best manufacturing practices
- Research industry best practices and emerging technologies to improve manufacturing methods
- Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives, including resolution of customer complaints
- Implement error-proofing strategies to ensure product quality and accurate assembly
- Support Supply Chain and Engineering in evaluating suppliers, components, and equipment from a manufacturability perspective
Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with power or power conversion products across prototyping, commercialization, and production
- Experience in engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, or custom manufacturing environments
- Experience selecting, procuring, and installing capital equipment, including project management
- Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies preferred
- Experience with ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality and environmental systems
- Strong commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing practices

Compensation
Compensation range: $85,000 – $95,000 USD
