About the role

The Manufacturing Equipment Architect is responsible for designing and optimizing manufacturing equipment for rocket motor assembly processes at Nammo Energetics' facility in Perry, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new manufacturing equipment for rocket motor assembly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed equipment upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to equipment design and operation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing equipment design and development
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Experience with manufacturing process automation and robotics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and materials
  • Understanding of ISO and other relevant quality management systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software
  • Experience with machine design and analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
