About the role
The Manufacturing Equipment Architect is responsible for designing and optimizing manufacturing equipment for rocket motor assembly processes at Nammo Energetics' facility in Perry, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new manufacturing equipment for rocket motor assembly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed equipment upgrades
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to equipment design and operation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing equipment design and development
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Experience with manufacturing process automation and robotics
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and materials
- Understanding of ISO and other relevant quality management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software
- Experience with machine design and analysis tools
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
