About the role
At Sylvamo, we’re a team on a mission to sustain forests and renew ecosystems while delivering on the promise of paper to educate, communicate and entertain the world. Located in Adirondack Park, the Ticonderoga Mill employs over 600 people and produces a variety of paper products including opaques, colors, and premium copy and printer grades. We are seeking entry‑level production team members who have the abilities and aptitude to progress to the top job in each department. New employees begin in the Labor Pool where they meet our teams, gain training, learn the processes and orient to equipment during the first several weeks of employment. Candidates selected for employment will undergo a pre‑employment drug screening, physical and background check, with a target start date on or around Monday, January 25, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Gain training and learn mill processes
- Orient to equipment and operate machinery as needed
- Work any shift, including a 12‑hour rotating schedule, holidays and/or weekends
- Maintain safety standards in industrial conditions (warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated surfaces)
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Consideration based on employment history
Qualifications
- Willingness to work in industrial conditions and meet physical demands
- Aptitude to progress to higher‑level positions within departments
- Ability to adhere to a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule and work holidays/weekends as required
