Manufacturing Engineering Technician II

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance to solve issues
  • Troubleshoot problems with other technical employees, suppliers, and outside experts
  • Become the SME on specialty processes on supported lines
  • Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving
  • Create training tools, documents, and standard operating procedures for production processes
  • Provide training, instruction, and guidance to production associates
  • Partner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and events
  • Present technical information or proposals to team members
  • Accurately assess ergonomic conditions within the manufacturing environment and provide practical solutions to eliminate ergonomic risk
  • Conduct testing related to introducing product improvements into the manufacturing process
  • Support the implementation and stabilization of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-year degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor)
  • Nice-to-have qualifications: General PLC and CNC Programming Knowledge, Strong math, science, mechanical and experimental skills, Understanding of the basic principles and operation of a work area, Experience creating manufacturing and maintenance documentation (MSI, LOTO, Work Instruction, PM, AM)
