About the role

Provides assistance to Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, and production departments. Supports development, routing, and implementation of manufacturing instructions to assemble products. Reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders for BOM structures and assigns labor hours to MES. Reviews documentation such as manufacturing procedures, BOMs, drawings, and routings. Assists with pFMEA development to identify failures and makes recommendations to Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers. Provides guidance for preventive maintenance and general repair on equipment or machinery. Assists in prototype development by debugging, modifications, assembly, and testing. Reports out metrics and KPIs. Participates in Lean initiatives and engages with Six Sigma tools for process improvements. Interacts with internal departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Production, Safety, etc...

Responsibilities

  • Reviews documentation such as manufacturing procedures, BOMs, drawings, and routings.
  • Assists with pFMEA development to identify failures and makes recommendations to Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers.
  • Provides guidance for preventive maintenance and general repair on equipment or machinery.
  • Affords specialized training to production employees and technical direction to production trainers.
  • Affords assistance in prototype development by debugging, modifications, assembly, and testing.
  • Reports out metrics and KPIs.
  • Participates in Lean initiatives and engages with Six Sigma tools for process improvements.
  • Interacts with internal departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Production, Safety, etc...

Requirements

  • Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 3+ years related experience or training in manufacturing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings and other technical documentation.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to be a team player.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers, equipment, and procedures.

Skills

  • MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Oracle Lean experience.
