About the role

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment at a Carrier manufacturing facility. This hands-on role partners with the engineering team to support tooling, improve lines, and troubleshoot processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the maintenance, adjustment, and fine-tuning of equipment, fixtures, and tooling while prioritizing safety.
  • Provides technical support to operations to hold process standards and cycle times.
  • Performs tests, measurements, capability studies, and process documentation.
  • Supports process-improvement and problem-solving projects on the floor.
  • Maintains process sheets, work instructions, and visual aids, ensuring strict documentation standards for equipment settings and process changes.
  • Supports the optimization of production lines.
  • Supports equipment commissioning, startup, and process validation activities.
  • Responsible for data collection, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Requirements

  • Technical/associate degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing or process technician.

Qualifications

  • Degree or trade school experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electromechanical, or a related field.
  • Hands-on skills installing, setting up, and fine-tuning equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Ability to read blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of measurement/inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Basic knowledge of Lean tools (5S, standard work) and floor problem-solving.
  • Experience supporting production line optimization and continuous improvement.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 and $129,500.00. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
