Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor manufacturing engineering technicians and production staff to achieve departmental goals
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Cook up troubleshooting activities to resolve production issues efficiently
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on process efficiency, quality enhancement, and cost reduction
- Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and workflow within the manufacturing engineering team
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support new product introductions and process changes
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Oversee documentation and maintenance of technical records and standard operating procedures
- Provide training and development opportunities to team members
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to long-term manufacturing engineering goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CAD software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with fibre-reinforced plastics (FRP) manufacturing is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
